CSM (R) Rory Malloy, is a member on the Board for VK Integrated Systems, Commissioner on the City of Oak Grove, KY Tourism Board; Executive Committee Member on the Christian County, KY Chamber of Commerce; Committee Member on the Army Education Advisory Committee; Senior Government and Defense Advisor for SERE Industries, Inc.; and an Independent Associate and Executive Coach with LWM III at FT. Leavenworth, KS. He is the Executive Director for the Fort Campbell Strong Defense Alliance, Inc. and the CEO of Rory Malloy Consulting LLC. for eight companies.

At the time of his retirement from the U.S. Army in 2017, he was the first Sergeant Major for the Assistant Secretary of the Army for Acquisition, Logistics and Technology, ASA(ALT), from November 2014 to May 2017.

His various senior leadership positions in the Army included being the second enlisted Commandant of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy from 2011 to 2024 where he was the proponent for 14 programs with a budget of $21M and the mission to provide professional leadership training and education to over 247,000 soldiers across the Army. He served as the Command Sergeant Major for the 1 st Cavalry Division from 2008 to 2011 (Iraq 2009-2010); Fort Polk and JRTC CSM from 2007 to 2008; CSM 1 st Brigade Combat Team from 2004 to 2007 (Iraq 2006 to 2007) and 2-187 th Battalion CSM from 2002 to 2004 (Iraq 2003 to 2004), 101 st Airborne Division (Air Assault). He has 45 months in combat between Iraq and Afghanistan.

Rory graduated with honors from every military course attended to include: Distinguished Honor Graduate from both the Jumpmaster Course and Drill Sergeant School; Honor Graduate from the Air Assault School; Commandant’s List from the Basic NCO Course, Advance NCO Course, First Sergeants Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy (Class 52).

His awards and honors include being awarded the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit (4 th Award), Bronze Star Medal for Valor, Bronze Star Medal (3 rd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (4 th Award), the Master Parachutist Badge, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Air Assault Badge, Italian Parachutist Badge and the Army Staff Identification Badge.

Rory was awarded the Sergeant Morales Award, Sergeant Audie Murphy Award, 1993 Ft. Benning Drill Sergeant of the Year, the Order of Saint Maurice Primicerius Medal and Centurion Medals, the Order of Saint George Medal and the Order of Saint Barbara Medal. Rory received the Secretary of the Army Distinguished Member of the Regiment award for the 187th Infantry Regiment, 325 th Airborne Infantry Regiment, 327 th Infantry Regiment, and 502 nd Infantry Regiments and was inducted into the United States Army Sergeant Major Academy Hall of Honors in 2017.

Rory graduated college with honors as a "Cum Laude" with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and as a “Summa Cum Laude” with a Master of Business Administration, Human Resource Management
